I was signed in every time I opened the website so I can read my mail without having to sign in. Now I have to sign in every time I want to read my email. It will not keep me signed in even with having checked "keep me signed in for 2 weeks". What do I do to stay signed in to read my email? Thanks.

I WANT TO NOT TO HAVE TO SIGN IN TO YAHOO EVERY TIME I WANT TO READ MY EMAIL. I WANT TO STAY LOGGED IN TO READ MY EMAIL EVERY TIME I GO TO YAHOO WEBSITE. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS? THANK YOU.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you on is stored in a cookie.

  • Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Site Preferences" and the "Cookies" as this doesn't take exceptions into account, but removes all specified data.

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

Do you logout's every time when you leave the Yahoo mail? If YES- Don't do it. Just close the TAB. So that you can directally access to your EMAIL inbox & don't need any logins.... Hope that helps....

You can inspect and manage the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab by clicking the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar and "More Information" to open "Page Info" and go to the Permissions tab.

  • Tools > Page Info > Permissions
  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
