Can you make a widget pop-up, allow positioning anywhere on the current page to enter a link to a page to be opened in a new tab, not losing my current spot?
As I'm reading a document I often want to research a great many of the links. I could stop, open a new tab, either copy the link into the new tab's entry field, wait for it to load...search for what I wanted a few minutes ago, find it, read it and then go back to my original page and pick up where I left off. It would be really nice if I could stay on the original page, paste the link into a pop-up bubble and continue reading a bit further while the requested link loaded. Wouldn't that be nice?
Thank You!

Hi, You can open a link in a new tab without leaving the page you're reading.
All you have to do is to hold down the Ctrl key when you click the link (in Windows). You can also use the right mouse button and choose from the context menu.
You can choose whether Firefox takes you straight on to the new page, or leaves you on the one you were reading while the new page loads. To control this, Tools > Options > Tabs, option "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately".
