Google Calendar becomes inactive in Firefox. Cannot navigate, can't edit appointments, can only display one appointment, then freezes and nothing more possible. Reset Firefox resolves the problem for a while (sometimes only minutes), then it becomes inactive again. Firefox 28.0, Windows 7. Google Calendar is OK in Android and syncs with my PC OK. Works fine in Internet Explorer. Please advise.

Probably the Freeven pro extension is the problem. Disable only that and check it again.
If you have the same problem after you disable the Freeven pro extension then, disable graphics hardware acceleration.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
- Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
- In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
- In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
- Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
In safe mode hardware acceleration is disable by default.
Thank you.

Hello DickDawson, many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.
Note that when you reset firefox, Firefox will save your cookies !
Thank you.
Hi ideato Thanks for the advice. I cleared cookies and cache as instructed and it made no difference. I closed and restarted Firefox - no difference. What do you suggest?
Hello, check it in Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
To see if the Freeven pro extension is the problem.
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.
Thanks for your very quick response. Works fine in safe mode, but on restarting Firefox in normal mode the same problem occurs. I will go throught the troubleshooting routine and let you know how I get on.
Problem is still pending. I will mark it as solved when I can.

I uninstalled the Freeven software and the extension. Everything has been fine now for 2 days. Many thanks for your prompt and professional replies and advice. Kind regards Dick Dawson
