zoom doesn't change game interface size, only the size of the frame it sits in
The game I play works better on Firefox than on my other browser EXCEPT that the game's size is too small on this computer. On my other computer FF zoom resizes this game perfectly.
But on this computer zoom results in a dark grey border growing ever bigger around the game without ever changing the size of the game interface. I think what is happening is that there is a frame that the game interface sits it. Zoom changes the size of that frame without changing the size of what sits in it. On my other computer FF does this just fine -- so it isn't that this game doesn't allow for this.
How do I get this new-to-me version of FF to do this?

Does it make a difference whether "View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only" is enabled or not?
- Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
My version of FF doesn't seem to have text only zoom. My older FF version on my other computer has that.
Maybe an older version of FF might do the trick, though. I wonder if I can find that somewhere.
I did some more playing around and discovered something interesting.
The zoom works right when I zoom out (make the image smaller) -- for all the good that does me. It isn't right on zoom in when I exceed 100%.
I'd like to zoom in to around 150% of what automatically displays on my screen. The area I'm doing stuff in ought to fill most of my screen without anything spilling off.
Also, on another game at the same site, zoom in was working just fine.
The Zoom item is only present in the View menu that is part of the Menu bar.
Did you open the Menu Bar and find the View menu?
- Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar

Try this out;
NoSquint {web link} NoSquint allows you to adjust the text-only and full-page (both text and images) zoom levels as well as color settings both globally (for all sites) and per site.
Thanks for telling me how to see my menu bar! I have it set to always show now -- which (in my world) is how it is supposed to be.
NoSquint has some nice features. BUT it doesn't alter the zoom level of my game which isn't really either text or an image but more of an interactive movie.
Does anyone have a way of getting FF to detect for zooming a do-dad on a webpage it doesn't seem to want to detect? That seems to be the issue in this instance. (And please note on my other computer, the game does zoom -- just like I expect it to.)
Your zoom controls.
<Control> + (plus) enlarge <Control> - (minus) reduce <Control> 0 (zero) restore
This is for text only, but if you use the Shift key also, the images should also change size.
Also, go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
When a game uses a plugin like Flash or Java then it might not be possible to zoom that plugin area as it is part of the plugin-container process.
Anyway make sure that "Zoom Text Only" is disabled (doesn't have a tick) and full page zoom is used.
