Clicking links within Outlook 2013 causes multiple FF windows to open

I have a user running Windows 7 Pro x64 and Office 2013 Standard x64.

Whenever they click a hyperlink from within an email, FF (set as default browser in Windows) opens multiple windows of the same link. Chrome and IE don't do this when set to default, which leads me to suspect that the problem is FF. I have tried running the built-in reset/repair, but did nothing. I tried a few other things that were suggested on the internet but none were helpful.

Any ideas?

What is the link the user is trying to open? What are the other pages? Adds? Other web sites?
