Firefox 31.0 has quit allowing me to look at my contacts in gmail so I can edit it . Just says Loading.. then still working... and never does load. If I compose a new email contacts are there to select from. If I access gmail from Internet Explorer I can access Contacts fine. I have tried starting Firefox in SafeMode to no avail. I tried uninstalling Firefox 31.0 and reinstalling it, to no avail.

 Is this a bug with the current Version of Firefox? Any ideas what the problem is?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache

Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

and

  • Remove Cookies

Warning ! ! This will log you out of all sites you're logged in to. Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. There is a button on the right side called Show Cookies.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

I was gone for a couple of days and just saw your response and I cleared the Cache and Removed the Cookies. I no longer have the problem. Although I neglected to make sure the problem still existed, prior to doing that. So I am not100% sure there is a direct correlation. I had used CC Cleaner previously to clear the cache and remove the cookies, but it may not have been as thorough. I will keep your solution, in case it crops up again, Thank You!!
