Multiple copies of draft email is being saved into my local folders. How can I prevent this?

Recently I've noticed that auto-saved versions of my email are being saved into my local folders as unread mail.

If I write a long message there will be six or seven messages saved.

What is causing my drafts to be whisked out of my drafts folder and pushed into my local folders.

I do have filters running, but surely filters don't act on the drafts folder?

Type faster, increase the autosave time or turn auto save off altogether.

From the menu bar select Tools-Options-Composition-General for the autosave options.

No menu bar? press the alt key.

Type faster! Good thinking :-)

I looked at the config and the settings there are ok.

Part of my question is why these draft versions are appearing in the mailbox folder instead of in the drafts folder. I wouldn't mind them being in drafts.

What is happening presently is that the drafts are being saved into my local folders, where I expect to find mail that has been filtered out of the inboxes.

You can specify the 'Drafts' folder for an account in your server settings.
