Previously I had an issue with the Bing website loading every time I opened Firefox, even though my homepage was Google. I was able to fix that by changing the Target Line. However, it still loads Bing when I open new tabs. I've checked Add-Ons and Extension but nothing has worked. How do I get rid of this?!

Hello,

An external application probably changed some of your settings. If the problem you are experiencing is only for new tabs, you can change a parameter in your Firefox Configuration. To change that parameter, please do the following steps:

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
  3. Search for the browser.newtab.url' parameter, and Modify it to "about:home" or whichever site you want.

Alternatively, if you want all of the search settings to be reset to default, you can install the Search Reset Tool. This extension will reset all search and home page settings, and uninstall itself.
