Browser freezes a lot.
Browser freezes up periodically and gives a (not responding) error. If I force close the program I get a "Firefox has stopped working" popup, and then a second popup that says "Plugin Container for firefox has stopped working". It happens constantly, whether I have 1 tab open or 10. It seems to especially happen if I load up a Youtube or Imgur page. Is there something to be done about this?
This question was addressed earlier in the year here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012101?esab=a&s=&r=0&as=s
but the problem has returned with a vengeance, for no reason that I can figure out. Below are my 5 most recent crash reports- it's worth noting that there are FAR less crash reports than incidents of crashing. This is happening multiple times per day, every day.

hello, does it make a difference when you reset firefox? (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
We're about to find out! Thanks for the help, I'll report back if I notice a difference.
After a few days I've noticed no improvement.
were there any new crash reports generated since last time?
maybe one thing you can try in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > network > connection - settings... is to set it up to directly connect to the internet ('no proxy').
another thing worth a try is to scan your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner, which can be used next to your generic security program.
Those looks like problems with the Shockwave Flash plugin.
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
- check for updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration - disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

I have followed your advice and still, no improvement. I updated my graphics drivers and the sytem file check found no errors. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
I have a question, I have a similar problem, and I wanted to ask, do you use Norton on your system? I had disabled the toolbar long ago. But the problems have returned, and I can not find the Norton bar in my Add-ons Manager. I am going to contact Norton Support on this.
