I open firefox it starts to open than is taken over by purifier.com I have reinstalled browser, still same effect. ran my virus program. Explorer works on my system

I can't exactly tell you what's causing this, since I can't see what applications you have installed on your system.

My general advice in such cases though, will be:

  1. Check installed Firefox add-ons.
  2. Download, install and run scan with AdwCleaner and Malware Bytes.
  3. Check installed applications, and look for weird looking applications you don't know you'd installed.
