I had the issue of receiving duplicate emails. I contacted Bigpond and I got a tech who mentioned that he had had that problem before and he added the 'Remove Duplicate Messages' tool from Thunderbird to my add-ons. The tool worked -for about a day! I am still receiving duplicate emails, on a random basis from different senders. The tool does not work at all. When I try to activate it I just get an empty box. I have tried deleting the tool, restarting Thunderbird to no avail. I have Bigpond have a go at the duplicate email situation again today and am waiting for a response after a couple of goes from the tech. Can anyone help on the duplicate email issue and/or the non functioning tool?

Well lets see.

I have he remove duplicate messages add-on installed and it is not compatible with my version of Thunderbird. But the download page does say up to Thunderbird 32.

Tools menu (alt+T) > add-ons and disable or remove it.

Yo have my opinion of Bigpond and their support here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1042731
