I have not been able to recover emails sent to the incoming saved mail folder; I hit the 'repair' button and now all past messages have disappeared.
In my Frontier folders, I have been saving emails to the 'INBOX.incoming saved mail folder' for a long time. This past week, I saw that the recent emails I had saved were not listed there; I couldn't find them anywhere. Today, I right clicked on the folder and chose Properties. There I found a 'Repair' button and clicked that. Now.. all 288 saved emails are gone. What happened? I'm truly hoping there's a way to recover all those saved emails.

in there a incoming file in your anti virus quarantine, or mentioned in it's logs?

repairing the index only shows what you have in Inbox.
If you have not compacted any folders, you could see if recovering deleted messages works. Try this addon.
