how do I change the default location for where the address book is saved?
I use 3 computers, my work PC, my laptop and my home PC. So it's very cumbersome to have to add one new contact to all three address books each time.
How do I change the default location of where Mozilla stores the address book, so I can change the path to point to my dropbox account, where I can do this for all three computers and then I will be using only one address book for all three installations.
How do I do this? Or is there another easier solution?
Thanks, Dan

It wasn't designed to be used this way. Sad, but true.
The usual workaround is to use "the cloud", that is, an online address book that all of your devices can access. I use Google Contacts, and. gContactSync in Thunderbird.
I don't like the method to "sync" my contacts because what if I don't use my gmail contacts?
I use countermail and a few other email providers, so with 4 different email providers, I would go nuts to try to sync contacts between the 4.
If I can just have my contacts in Thunderbird, on dropbox or any other cloud storage and then point my Thunderbird instance to the contacts there.
Is this not possible?
No it is not possible.
