My emails are automatically being marked as read shortly after they appear in my inbox.

I have figured out how to:

1. Have it always be marked as unread, and 2. Have it automatically be marked as read as soon as it shows up in my inbox.

But I want it to be automatically marked as read only after I click on it.

Is this account IMAP? What provider? Do you have your mail on a phone or tablet as well?

It is an IMAP account. I believe that rackspace hosts my email server. I have the email forwarded to my gmail account that goes to my phone.
