How do I attach a file larger than 500kb

I find that if i try to attach a file larger than 500kb I get an error message. I was able to attach larger files in excess of 2mb previously. I use Bt internet and should be able to attach up to 20mb. I can still do this OK using Internet Explorer,

It is possible that security (Anti-Virus, firewall) is causing problems. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
