why the thunderbird calendar is not accessible for the screen reader users?

Hi I use Thunderbird for years privately and for work and I was always happy with it. However now I face an accessibility issue with the thunderbird calendar. As a screen reader user I cannot access the calendars features: It simply does not read events and read event creation menu? Thus I would love to know how it could be made accessible for the screen reader users.
