whenever we enter in the correct email pword. it is not accepting it.iam able to log in at the website and with other mail clients. please advise how to sign in

i have added my gmail account to the Thunderbird Application, but Thunderbird keeps asking me to enter in my password for the account, which i entered and am getting stuck in a loop where it is asking for my pw over and over agin

What is your account type - POP or IMAP?
