I have a problem with Mozilla Thunderbird: I cannot see the messages in any of my local directories or inbox

I have been accumulating messages for years. I can see a count of the number of messages. Also I can search for any message which I will be there and I see the message! But I don't see the list of messages under the directory name

list of messages under the directory name. is that a file system directory, or the folder in the Thunderbird user interface. A picture is worth a thousand words they say, so please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
