I read an email on my phone and then went to open it up on my computer using Thunderbird. There is a sentence missing in the middle of the message when viewed on Thunderbird. Also, the font changes when the message continues after the missing sentence. Any thoughts as to why would be appreciated.

Has the message been sent in both, plain text and HTML?

Perhaps you're viewing the message in plain text on the phone, and in HTML with Thunderbird. The HTML may have been screwed by the senders email client.
