Is the latest version of Firefox unstable? My computer keeps hanging.

Since Firefox version 56.0.1 (64 bit) was installed on my computer it keeps on freezing, nothing works even CTRL/ALT/DEL, I have to keep switching off and restarting manually.

Solution choisie

Question withdrawn, I have now eliminated Firefox as the cause.
