How do I add a URL address to an email?
Rather than copying an article from the web and embedding it in an e-mail, I want to just give the URL (internet address where the article can be found. you know, a "link!" But when I copy the link and paste it in the email, it is merely text, not a link.
Thanks, Glen A Goodale

Send the message to yourself. I expect it to look like a link in the received message in your Inbox. Or save your message as a draft in the Drafts folder and view it there. But Thunderbird's write window, by design, doesn't offer active links while composing a message.
If you want to go further and create links that look like this then try the Insert|Link option on the menu in your compose window.
