I know that cookies can be used to track your browsing history. But can websites also access Firefox url history? I currently limit and delete cookies. But It's nice to have browser history available for quicker access and my own reference. But not if it's also a privacy exploit.

This is hugely helpful. For clarification: you say that URL history is not a concern "unless you have something on your system" Presumably that history is stored as a file somewhere. But is it in theory not being accessed or read by tracking efforts?

Also, the article you posted is great, and a lot of it I can transpose to a Windows environment. but if you have a link to something similar for the Windows side of things, that would be appreciated.

Thanks so much for these details. I suspect a person can drive them selves crazy trying to keep up with all leaks. But I am doing my best as I think it's just the right and safest thing to do.
