Hi, I just reinstalled Windows 10 Pro x64. So I got fresh installation of Windows, Firefox and Thunderbird. When I click a link in an email in Thunderbird it takes like 30-60 seconds for it to open in Firefox. I have no add-ons installed in Thunderbird. In Firefox only Adblock Plus. There is no difference if I start Tb in safe mode.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

When you click on a link, the computer uses preferences to open default programs. The opening of any browser has nothing to do with Thunderbird.

re:There is no difference if I start Tb in safe mode. It will not make any difference because it is not an issue with Thunderbird.

Suggest you ask in Firefox forum. Have you tried doing a clean install of firefox? Located this which sounds similar to your issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/954998

Thank you for the reply. When I closed an ASUS application for the motherboard audio the problem was solved. Not very intuitive.
