Ever since the last upgrade recently, I cannot get firefox to save the password for one account. Namely: https://www.sfimg.com/Home/Alerts. What can I do to fix this. The only change to my computer programs in last year was to add on Avast Clean up application.

Note that you can edit the username and password field in the Password Manager window by double clicking the appropriate field. You need to make the passwords visible (Show Passwords) top be able to edit a password. You can also check the password exceptions.

Is this the only problem with saving settings?

Let's start with; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Yes, I have checked all settings in Options. Everything is properly set up. After the latest upgrade, I changed the password for the one mentioned webpage. It prompts me to save it, I click on it, do my work, then close it. When I reopen later, the password is not saved.

Thank you! I did not know about the edit function. I followed your suggestion and it did indeed correct the problem. Now, the question is if this happens again with another webpage/site, is there a glitch in the new version of Firefox that needs to be addressed. Also, does anyone know if this is something Avast Clean up Premium or Piriform CC Cleaner could have caused?
