How do I set one of my 4 email addresses to be the default
Having a few problems with email recently after losing our old windows live mail account while doing a windows 10 reset.
We used to have just one email address in live mail that was used solely for our website. I now have all 4 of our email addresses in thunderbird and the old live mail account is number 4 in sequence. I want to use number 4 as my default mail client as this is the one we use for the website so when I click on an email address I want it sent from number 4. I have set thunderbird to be the default but it is using the first email address as the default.
CAN I CHANGE THIS??

Tools|Account Settings|Account Actions lets you nominate the default account.
Another approach is to use the Manually Sort Folders add-on which lets you re-order your accounts, and in doing so, set the default. This would let you move #4 to #1.

Many thanks for the reply and as it happens I have found out how to make number 4 default which moves the address to number one. Where do I find MANUALLY SORT?
Go to Tools|Add-ons|Extensions and search for it using the search box provided.

Many thanks again and just one more question. The default is working fine so if I click on a link in any of the 4 email addresses it defaults to the one address now. However Is it possible when clicking on a link within an email to set up to answer from the email address that the email went to?

Any chance you might share how you fixed the problem?

I installed the manually sort folders add-on, but can't see how this does anything. I expected to see a list of my folders, and the ability to move them in the list, but no such display. 'Manually sort' does not appear to offer anything.
I have three email accounts. I have set a newer one as the default account, but when I reply to an email sent to this account, or if I start a new email, the 'From' defaults to the original account.
Thunderbird seems to be ignoring my default account, and using one that is no longer the default.
How can I make it do as it is told? I've installed the 'manually sort folders' add-on, but that makes no difference.
