how to restore menu bar bookmarks?
since updating to v58+ my menu bar bookmarks is no longer accepting the ctrl+d book markings.
I hate everything about the toolbar bookmark with multiple menu just to open a bookmark.
the menu bar bookmarks top left, is 2 clicks to open a bookmark and its easy to find in top left corner listed as "bookmarks"
How do I restore the origional menu bar bookmarks so it will continue to add new bookmarks using the CTRL+D + enter?????

Hi frugal, to switch Ctrl+d from saving to "Other Bookmarks" back to "Bookmarks Menu" you need an add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-bookmark-folder/
Make sure to go into its options, second tab, and choose the Bookmarks Menu there. See attached screenshot.
Success?
It does not work. what is happening is firefox is refusing to save the folder setting location when you change it in that little box that pops up after pressing ctrl-D for where you want book marks to go. When you press Ctrl-D it keeps defaulting to "other bookmarks" and it won't stay locked on your last choice. in my case "menu bookmarks"
regardless of setting in the add-on
You want the Menu Bar turned back on please mouse to top of browser and Right Click and Click Menu Bar.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

What if you save the bookmark anyway? Where does it end up?
I discovered that if I was bookmarking several pages fast, the "Page Bookmarked" panel would stop getting updated to Bookmarks Menu and would show Other Bookmarks. But actually, the bookmark was saved on Bookmarks Menu.
I'm hoping that gets fixed.
