Deploy firefox with some business settings
Hi,
We like to deploy firefox with some business settings.
Example: - Homepage will be the business homepage - Cleanup private settings by closing firefox. - Root password
Is it possible to change a settings file to preset those settings?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Morca, do you mean on Android, or on Windows/Mac/Linux?
I don't think there is a way to do that directly on Android, you would need to use an app that creates a managed space on the device to install Firefox into.
If you mean on a desktop OS, a moderator can move your thread to the "Firefox for Enterprise" board.
i't for a android device. we like to use this in a shop and want to restrict permissions in firefox as much as we can. We can deploy firefox to all devices, but after that we need to manually change the settings. We hoped that all settings where stored in a file so we can transfer this over the android devices.
Hi
I am not sure how easy that would be to do what you are planning with Firefox for Android, but as an alternative approach, you may wish to use Firefox Focus. It is a much lighter browser and is designed to clear history.
hmm, i check firefox focus but this browser has some problems: no homepage and no close button. With firefox you have a option to close the application. when you press the 3 dots in the top right corner.
So i guess firefox focus is no option for me :(
PS: this is needed because we want to clean cookies and browser store.

Hi
I will drop you a direct message with a possible solution for you.
As i read here. it looks like the only possibility to access the profile file, is when your device is rooted. can someone confirm that this is the only way to backup your profile and transfer it to other devices?
