How can i make certain file extensions go to certain folders on download ?
I've been trying to find a plugin that can make certain extension types go into certain subfolders of download automatically
Example:
Downloading .EXE -> Goes Into Downloads/Installers Downloading .PNG -> Goes into Downloads/TempImages

You would need to use a download manager for that.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Even after spending ages browsing numerous pages i couldn't find what i was looking for, there used to be this extension, but it no longer works
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/automatic-save-folder/
Unfortunately, when they came out with Firefox Quantum, they also destroyed thousands of great add-ons.
That is why I am still using v54.
Hello LuciferSK,
Would you take a look at this :
https://www.ghacks.net/2018/03/15/save-in-switch-between-multiple-download-folders-in-firefox/
And this is the extension in question :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/save-in/?src=search
Any good, or does it not even come close to what you're looking
for ?
Not quite what i was looking for, i found that earlier on, but i want something that when i download an exe in Firefox, will automatically put them in one folder.

That's not going to happen anymore. The only one I found was FDM v3 that would at least download files with matching extension to the right folder it creates.
Hmm okay well thank you guys for the answers, i think i'll just have to get used to saving in specific locations which will be a hard habit to break as i'm used to just clicking ok to download

Don't give up just yet - if you remove the Chosen Solution mark from your post, somebody else might take a look at this thread and (who knows ?) come up with the perfect solution for you .....
Ah okay, again thank you =D
So what else have you looked at besides those mentioned?
