How can I make Firefox use google/ncr

more options

Dear Community,

I recently switched back to FF from chrome and I really love it. There is one thing I cannot get to work though: I would like to have google as default search engine but without country redirect. In Chrome this is done by using https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&pws=0&gl=us&gws_rd=cr as search engine. What is the equivalent in FF?

Thanks in advance!

I found a search engine that actually works. But I tried so many, I'm not sure which one it actually was. Most do not work.

so www.google.com/ncr does not work?

It works if I type it into the address bar. But I would like to make it my default search engine.

There are three no country redirect Search Engine Plugins at https://mycroftproject.com/google-search-plugins.html

Hi ChiefBigFeather, running google.com/ncr once will set a cookie that keeps the no-country-redirect setting for future searches. (Until the cookie is cleared.)

I really dislike allowing google cookies beyond what's necessary.

Those ncr search engines do not work. I remember having the same problem with previous versions of FF. No matter what search engine I tried, google showed me localized results first.

Maybe this is another one of those dirty google tricks to give their browser an advantage.

Hi ChiefBigFeather, you could use a custom search engine instead of the built-in one. This one seems to use the same query parameters as yours:
