Messages remain bolded after read

Check settings:

  • Menu app icon > Options > Options > Display > 'Advanced' tab
  • Select 'Automatically mark messages as read'
  • Select 'Immediately on display'

What OS are you using? What version of Thunderbird are you using?

I did all this, and my messages are still bolded.

I turned Thunderbird off and then turned on, but messages still bolded.

Interestingly, the only message that it unbolded was your message

I am using Windows 10 - only using for one month since I had to get new computer - was using Windows 7.

Thunderbird 68.5.0 (64-bit)

Sorry . . . I didn't realize that I would have to click on each message to have it unbold - Duh! Thanks so much for your help. Wish I could return the favor. Catherine.
