Obtaining the full Firefox download from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ has worked through versions 78.0.1. It is not showing version 78.0.2, which is now available (it still only downloads 78.0.1). The full download from this web site through version 78.0.1 has updated Firefox *AND* the Mozilla Maintenance Service. Downloading the 78.0.2 update via the browser only updates the browser, but not the Mozilla maintenance service. Does it matter anymore? Will this be fixed, perhaps via the migration to Firefox accounts? Maybe this service is no longer required for more recent versions of Firefox?

Up to now I have used the URL https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ to download and test new versions of Firefox on various machines. It is somewhat troubling that this option does not appear to be working. Does anyone know if this is a temporary hiccup or a permanent change?

This may be a question for Mozilla people to answer.

Thanks

What combination of drop-downs do you have? For example:

Which browser would you like to download: Firefox

Select your preferred installer: Windows 64-bit

Select your preferred language: English (US)

That currently gives me a download with 78.0.2 in the file name. (I tested in a private window, in case that makes any difference.)

jscher2000: Thanks for responding. I agree with what you found, and as of this reply it is working again without making any changes at my end.

When I start Firefox, as I did early this morning, I always check for updates. The 78.0.1 Firefox browser said 78.0.2 was available. When I went to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all several times this morning it was only giving me 78.0.1 and not 78.0.2. After this didn't work several times this morning, I questioned what was happening. I also encountered notices about Mozilla support accounts moving to Firefox login accounts.

In any event I'm guessing Mozilla was moving fast on this security issue and had not yet posted 78.0.2 to the referenced web site.

Thanks and stay safe.
