Often when I delete an email in Thunderbird it will very quickly delete the next email in line. I have been very careful to only click once, but that doesn't matter Thunderbird will delete two emails with one click. Any advise?

I was not using the delete key, I was using the delete icon in Thunderbird. However that did make me think about my mouse. I have had no problems with the mouse in any other program but I decided to plug in another old wired mouse. The old mouse had no such problem in Thunderbird. I then ordered a new wireless mouse and am having no problem. I don't understand why my mouse only had problem in Thunderbird but it was the mouse.

Thunderbird was not the problem.

Thank You

The person asking yesterday had it suggested their delete key might be getting stuck. They marked that suggestion as a solution.
