Hi, I have noticed that when I click on my LinkedIn public profile link, Firefox doesn't show it but goes to LinkedIn log in page. It's the only browser to do that. So, to guide you through what I do: I paste the link in the URL bar in Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Safari and whatever other browser i can think of, and the page that opens is my LinkedIn public profile. I paste the link in Firefox URL bar, and the page that it opens is the LinkedIn log in page. Why is that? I have tried on my PC, on a laptop and on a Mac. The outcome is always the same. It works in all the other browsers but in Firefox. Possible employers I want to show my LinkedIn profile won't be able to see it if they use Firefox, so I need to fix this issue. Any help? Thank you.

If you hit the same link from Google search results, do you get the real page or the login page?

Let's try to rule out a setting/add-on issue using:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test your problem site(s).

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Take a quick glance at the page and make a mental note of which Profile has this notation: This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. That is your current default profile.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Dec2020, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

Firefox will switch your default profile to the new one, so click the Set as Default Profile button for your regular one to avoid an unwanted surprise at your next startup.

Scroll down to Dec2020 and click its Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system to get a clean test.

Does the LinkedIn URL work any better in the new profile?

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Dec2020 will remain available for future testing.)

Hi jscher2000, thank you for your reply.

If I run a search in Google (keywords: my name LinkedIn) and I click on the search result, I can see my public profile.

I followed your instructions on creating a new profile to the t but the outcome is the same. Firefox sends me to LinkedIn log in page. I don't know if this helps, but at the beginning (end of last year) I thought it was a LinkedIn problem so I opened a ticket with them but they tested and said there's no issue on their side. Only after that I checked the link in other browsers and found out that it works there.

If you need the link to public profile, I can provide it to you but I don't think that would make a difference.

Thanks again.
