Recently there was a change in the way bookmarks are displayed. If I go into Manage Bookmarks they are sorted in the order I want them to be shown, but the bookmarks offered to me appear to be random, or possibly most recently used. That is totally useless when I want to find a particular bookmark.

How do I get Firefox to display bookmarks in the order I have them in the Manage Bookmarks tab? Alternately is there a way I can get the manage bookmarks window to show up as a column on the left or right of my desktop? That would allow me to easily find a bookmark, and also to add a bookmark in the correct location to assist me in finding it later.

When I click on the bookmarks icon and choose bookmarks there used to be an option to show the bookmarks. Now all I see is 1) bookmark current tab 2) Search Bookmarks 3) Show bookmark toolbar and below that is recent bookmarks. There used to be a way to show the organized bookmarks. That seems to have disappeared in the recent updates.
