I have screens set up for working at home, and each screen has windows opened for specific tasks. The settings are set up so that after the power is turned off, I can start it up, and all the screens return to where they were when I shut it down.

I want to switch to Firefox, will all of these settings remain the same, or will I have a couple of hours resetting the system?

Do you mean completely different programs are on the two screens, or different windows of your Chrome browser are spread out on the two screens?

Using Firefox shouldn't affect other programs at all. However, if you start browsing using Firefox, it won't know where you want its windows to be -- this isn't something Firefox can import from Chrome -- and you'll have to set up your Firefox windows where you want them.
