I have been trying to forward emails, send emails, and reply and it will not let me. Every time it asks for a password and I enter the password in but it tells me it failed. It also tells me the username, my email, is wrong but my exact email is used.

Thunderbird is just reporting to you the feedback from your email host. My guess is that either the settings are wrong for the account, or the password may be wrong. If you post all your settings, someone here may have suggestions.

bellsouth accounts, like all AT&T accounts, require a secure mail key for TB instead of the account password. Remove the passwords for the incoming and outgoing servers in Settings/Privacy & Security, Saved Passwords, restart TB, enter the mail key when asked for a password.
