Firefox doesn't load google search but loads bookmarked sites and direct urls. No error message
I switched to Firefox a couple of months ago because I don't like the privacy policies of Chrome. It was working fine until last week, but now, it doesn't let me go to google.com or type searches. It just goes in an endless search loop and gives up without any error message. Nothing has changed from what I've seen/done since before it started. I have tried all the fixes mentioned by people trying to troubleshoot loading issues with Firefox. Cleared all history, caches and so forth. I tried to start it in Safe Mode. I tried various about:config tricks. Nothing has worked. Sometimes randomly it works for a hot minute but ultimately stops. However, otherwise it works great with website url that I type directly into the bar or any bookmarked sites or links I click on. It's just google.com or word based searches.

This could be a problem with the TLS 1.3 Early Data feature also known as Zero Round Trip Time Resumption (0rtt). You can try to set security.tls.enable_0rtt_data = false on the about:config page to disable this feature until this is fixed by Google or Mozilla to see if that helps.

Are you using a proxy or VPN?
You can check the connection settings.
- Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":
Thank you, unfortunately, it doesn't fix my problem. I have tried all the above mentioned solutions. Only thing I haven't tried is to do all the solutions at once (especially all the "about:config" solutions) because I'm afraid I'm just going to mess everything up.
