I am using Firefox's picture-in-picture player to watch a livestream on Youtube. When I use the mute button on the PiP controls, it will unmute itself after a few seconds. Instead, I have to find the browser tab and mute it in YouTube's player. Would be nice to have a this resolved as the mute button on the PiP player is more convenient to use. Thanks, I appreciate this cool feature.

Screenshot is just to indicate the mute button I'm referring to - hard to capture the problematic behavior in a screenshot.

Youtube live streams in PiP stay muted for me. Perhaps it is caused by an extension, does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

No, the behavior still occurs in troubleshoot mode.

The amount of time it stays muted varies, sometimes it unmutes in a second, sometimes it takes 10+ seconds.

Update Firefox: Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could address such issues. To check for updates, go to the Firefox menu and click on "Help" > "About Firefox."

Clear Cache and Cookies: Clearing your browser's cache and cookies might help resolve any temporary issues. Refer to the instructions I provided earlier on how to clear cache and cookies in Firefox.

Disable Extensions: Temporarily disable any extensions you have installed in Firefox to see if they are causing the problem. It's possible that an extension could be conflicting with the PiP mute functionality. Disable them one by one to identify if a particular extension is responsible.
