Hello, I have Thunderbird running on two different OS's. Linux (115.3.1) and Windows 11.(115.4.1). Both act the same way. Both are have the same email address and are linked to two gmail accounts. I have noticed that web based gmail email there is only a "Sent" Folder. On Thunderbird there is a "Sent" and "Sent Mail" folder. on one account the other only has "Sent" They are not always in sync. When I send an email, sometimes it seems to "Hang" sometimes not. I am wondering if I can remove the "Sent Mail" folder or the "Sent" folder as that could be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance.

With gmail, sent messages are automatically copied to Sent Mail, which is the folder that should be subscribed. Also, 'Place a copy in' in the Copies & Folders section of Account Settings should be unchecked.

I removed the check mark and reloaded TBird. My first test email , I got the hang up.. as shown here., on the screen shot. Have tested windoz and the problem does not happen. Even tho there is a 115.4.1 to download 115.3.1 does not auto update.. not sure if that is related.

Assuming the server settings are the same in Linux and Windows, what are the external factors that could affect TB performance, e.g. antivirus or VPN?

Not too familiar with Linux, but the update might depend on the distro's policy for updates instead of what's on the TB website.
