I have installed Thunderbird 128.1.esr(64-bit_ on Windows 10.

I copied my profiles across from my old PC (windows 7).

I adjusted the locations as I want to keep my email data in separate drive.

Thunderbird starts up and at first run took a while before it showed the messages.

I have several Email accounts configured.

The issue I am having is that the sub-folder under "Local Folders" are not showing.

I noticed on the original PC there is file called `folderCache.json` which contain the folders names and locations, including the missing ones.

I copied this file to the new PC and edited the location to match the new ones.

But when I start TB, the ones under "Local Folder" are still not visible, and the `folderCache.json` gets over written with a newly generated one that does not have the missing folders.

I tried to look in the "Developer Tools>Error Console" for any clues but there is nothing related to folder trees there.

The folder are quite large (with messages going back 20 years).

It seems that the foldercache.json gets regenerated at each run, so where does it read the sub-folder list from?

I should add that only "Local Folders" sub-folder are missing, for all other accounts, the folders are present.

The devil is in the details. I suggest you click to accountsettings, scroll down left side to 'local folders, and click the browse button at bottom of right pane to select the location of the local folders, as you indicated they are on a different drive. That may cause Thunderbird to reboot.
