Ultimate Firefox PROBLEM
Many times, Firefox will HANG (PROGRAM NOT RESPONDING)....Firefox will NOT CLOSE when trying the end the program in Windows Taskbar. Sometimes when attemping to close Firefox in Taskbar, a dialogue box will pop up, asking if I am a really sure I want to close Firefox. When "yes" is clicked, NOTHING HAPPENS. Firefox is still STUCK, and everytime I click the X in the corner the same dialogue box from earlier appears again. When I try to open Internet Explorer while Firefox is stuck and not responding, it also HANGS. I have to do a hard reboot every time this shit happens. It's been happening to me for almost half a year now but now I've reached my breaking point with this issue. Firefox knows these issues exist and do absolutely NOTHING about it. Upgrading to the latest version of Firefox didn't do jack shit for me because the latest version also has it's own bag of bullshit that's just as worse as the previous version. With the latest version, many times it HANGS when I attempt to CLOSE the browser, and I cannot end the program in taskbar and again I have to do a hard reboot. Let's say I have 3 tabs open. When I try to close two of them, it will close the websites, but the tabs REMAIN on the tab bar, so I have one active tab, and 2 dead ones that aren't supposed to be there, and at that point when I try to close firefox, surprise surprise, IT HANGS!!!
This happened
A few times a week

Hi Lawrence,
I am sorry you are having difficulties with Firefox. My first suggestion would be to try upgrading to Firefox 3.6 which is our latest release. Would you be able to do this and let me know if this fixes the problem?
You can download the latest release at firefox.com. Let me know how this goes - thanks!

I am having this same problem with 3.6 so upgrading won't solve it. I can get FF to close by ending the process in the tax bar, but the issue is only getting worse everyday. It's happening with all FF versions and needs to be fixed ASAP!!!!!
Upgrading to the latest version of Firefox carries its own set of issues. I've briefly outline them in my rant above, but in case you're wondering:
1. With the latest version of Firefox, the biggest issue I've encountered is with the TABS. Say I have three tabs open. When I try to close two of them, only the websites will close, but the two tabs remain on the tab bar. So then I have one active tab, and two dead ones that refuse to close when the 'x' is clicked on each one. I'm fairly confident that this is not a normal Firefox operating procedure. 2. This problem seems to stem from the TABS issue. When the issue with the tabs occur, I CANNOT seem to close firefox. When I click on the 'X' in the right hand corner, NOTHING HAPPENS, and I have to end the process in Windows Taskbar. 3. Sometimes when I attempt to open Firefox, I get a dialogue box saying Firefox is already open and I have to close the previously opened browser to start a new one. When this happens, absolutely nothing can be done to open Firefox, even trying to end the process in Taskbar. Everytime I try to open it at that point, all I get is that stupid message saying I have to close a previously opened FF browser. This even happens after I completely boot up my system.
