How to stop automatic pop-up window "Firefox wants to use the font "Stone Sans Sem OS ITC TT Semi"?
Everytime I open Firefox I get the irritating pop-up window "Firefox wants to use the Font "Stone Sans Sem OS ITC TT Semi" on the volume, the font is not installed. I installed the font, but I still get it.
The window gives me options "Do not ask again" "Show in Finder" "Don't Allow" "Allow".
I click "Do not ask me again" and "Allow" but I keep getting this every time. How to stop it?! Thanks.

See Bug 567552 – Fonts on External drive are activated by Firefox, and preference to not ask again is ignored

Thanks for letting me know that someone is aware of this problem. I read the thread and see that someone suggests it is an OS problem. If so, do you have a recommendation on how I can fix it? Thanks again, Duncan
Just hit this suddenly today (Firefox 3.6.12 on Mac 10.6.5 - also affected Thunderbird 3.1.6 simultaneously). *Not* fixed by disabling Preferences > Fonts, Advanced > Always allow pages etc.
However I saw a mention somewhere else that it only happened when iPhoto was running. I wasn't running iPhoto but I did have iTunes 10.1 (54) up, so I closed that. Problem solved.
I don't use iTunes very often but I needed to sync my iPod, so (unusually) I started it when I logged in, while TBird and Firefox were still loading. Possibly that was what did it (will have to check though).
Hey. This happened to me two days ago and I can't fix it.
It seems to have kicked in with the recent iTunes update (not sure if it's related..)
Anyway, I've tried the "Always Allow Pages.." un-check fix to no avail...it's really messed up my work and I'm about to ditch all mozilla products as I can't face clicking through the 300+ warnings for each font every time I load up Thunderbird or Firefox.
Please help as I am at my wits end.

Thanks, but I've done all that and the problem still persists....any other ideas?
EDIT: Think I have it cracked. After moving the fonts from User to Computer I hadn't deleted them all from the "User" section (didn't realise that you had to)
Having done this it seems to be good.

How do you delete the fonts from the User section? This problem is driving me bats.
There are no fonts when I click on "user" in Font Book
You may have set your startup drive as something other than the drive you booted up from.
I've noticed I only get this problem in that case, such as when booting up holding down option and selecting a temporary alternate startup drive.
