Firefox header, "About Firefox", bookmarks, and tab titles are all in gibberish (although page contents are displayed fine). I have a screenshot of this.

Fresh installs of Firefox sometimes presents users with jumbled text. A screen shot would probably be the best way to show what I mean. I've searched in the knowledge database for something similar to this and I can verify that it has nothing to do with the font as this occurs inconsistently for different uses.

It can still be a problem with a corrupted font cache.

You can do a check for corrupted fonts and other font issues:

If you have Mac OS X 10.6 (now Leopard) then also see:

Thanks for your reply,

I did check the font book and there were a couple duplicates that Microsoft Office put in, however, these machines are all freshly loaded from an Instadmg image that's never been booted. Do you know what font Firefox uses for it's tab titles? Even the 'About Firefox' text was jumbled up which I've never seen before.

I thought it was originally because I was trying to manage Firefox bookmarks by modifying the Application itself (the default preferences) but I've since stopped doing it that way and started using the CCK tool but apparently I'm still getting these issues.
