search bar doesn't work

usually when I type a search into the search bar it performs the search if I hit enter or the magnifying glass icon. with 3.16.13 running on Mac OS 10.6.5 nothing happens. I've switched search engines using the drop down menu to no avail.

You can try to delete search.sqlite and search.json in the Firefox Profile Folder

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
