Just downloaded Firefox 4.0; Google search box is failing to complete searches and then to take me to websites suggested. HUGELY FRUSTRATING!!! Want to go back to version 3.6.16 but am unable

Google toolbar white search box (top left of screen) will offer suggestions to complete searches (as it used to do): for example type 'l' and 'lloyds tsb' will come up. When I click on the offered 'lloyds tsb' nothing happens; on version 3.6.13 and previous versions I would be taken direct to website selected on click. Now I have to type in whole of desired website: not just 'l' but all of 'lloyds tsb', for example, before being redirected to where I want to go. Have used Firefox for ages; so frustrated that I'm contemplating returning to Internet Explorer or trying Google Chrome. I've tried reinstalling 4.0 three time and no joy. Help me or lose me!

Cheers - other 3.6.13 downloads I've tried all come up as 'file corrupted'. Would stil like to know why the problem with Google search not completing and if I can resolve this on version 4.0...
