Why can't I open firefox 4 in 32-bit mode (mac)?

I am having trouble with flash and firefox 4, and have read that a solution might be to open firefox in 32-bit mode. When I 'right click' the firefox application icon, and click 'get info', I have no option of opening firefox in 32-bit mode.
