After upgrading to 4.0, I get at least 3 instances of incorrectly positioned screen data. 1. When first starting FF, i get a title bar (no menu or address bars) separated from the data area by a thin line of desktop area. To correct this, i must exit fullscreen (F11), maximize, then back to fullscreen. 2. When opening a link in a new tab (holding ctrl while clicking the link), i get a piece of the address bar at the top, followed by the data area. Hitting F11 twice corrects this. 3. Sometimes the top of the data area is cut off at top of screen (including the up-arrow of the vertical scroll bar). Again, hitting F11 twice corrects it.

It looks that there is a problem with the display driver.
Did you check if there is an update available?

You can try to reset the file that stores the screen settings:

I don't know how to check for updates to the display driver. I assume that i would be automatically notified, but not sure.

I did manage to locate the "localstore.rdf" file and deleted it as suggested. Firefox then created a new one, which TEMPORARILY 'fixed' problem #1; it had no effect on #2 & #3. The next time i restarted my computer problem #1 came back. These 3 problems didn't occur in FF 3.6.

Also, I have the Desktop shortcut for FF coded to start up "Maximized", but for some reason, FF 4.0 is ignoring this (possibly causing problem #1, or all 3?).
