I want my bookmarks to show in the bar on the left side of the page.
I have always had my bookmarks displayed in a vertical bar on the left side of my screen. I closed it yesterday to view something full frame and cannot find any command anywhere that lets me restore the bookmarks bar. I checked under "view" and looked for "sidebar" and "bookmarks." Nothing called sidebar.

You can press Ctrl+b to open and shut the bookmarks sidebar.
But it really should be in the view menu:
View menu > Sidebar > Bookmarks
If you have the orange Firefox button (abbreviated menus), tap the Alt key or press F10 to display the full classic menu bar temporarily so you can access the View menu.

Thanks much! I actually figured it out just before getting your message - so I guess you psychically linked me in. j
there was nothing wrong with the toolbar in earlier versions! i prefer my bookmarks menu on the left side of the bar. i chose firefox because it was so much like my old netscape browser - which i loved. and now y'all have gone and "fixed" something that wasn't broken. shame on you. give me complete control over customizing my browser!

Which change don't you like and want to undo?
