my screen has lots of black out flashing unless I run in safe mode, why?
screen just blacks out or, for example, while I'm typing this the background portion of the typed text flashes black while typing...
The only way for this to go away and run firefox is in safe mode.
Solution choisie
In Firefox 4 Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
