Firefox is not compatable with Tiscali, I have to use IE / Outlook Express to get my mail....Please help.

After downloading the latest version of Firefox I am constantly being asked for my ISP password and even when I enter this, I cannot download mail sent to my chris-howe@tiscali.co.uk address. I have contacted Tiscali / Talk Talk, they tell me that it is all the fault of the new Firefox download. Please advise. Thank you.
